Erasmus 25th anniversary Facebook competition
Ever been on an Erasmus exchange? Did it change your life? Tell us about it – and you could win a tablet pc. We're looking for funny, exciting or moving stories (preferably in English), in any format, whether text, photo or video. The competition's our way of celebrating the 25th birthday of the Erasmus programme this year. The Youth on the Move team will shortlist the top 10 entries, then Facebook users will vote to choose the three prize-winners, which will also be published on the Youth on the Move website. YES - International Seminar: “Europeans meet Swiss Democracy“
Organised by the Young European Swiss. This two-day seminar on the topic "Europeans meet Swiss Democracy – Pros and Cons of Direct Democracy" will be held in Zurich, Switzerland. It is an opportunity for dedicated young Europeans to come together in order to learn more about the Swiss system of direct democracy and to discuss how democracy can be enhanced on a European level. TREKHAAK GEZOCHT | Een Europees verbindend cultuurproject
Georganiseerd door de Buren. De Nederlandse theatermaker Tjerk Ridder en journalist Peter Bijl reisden liftend met een caravan - zonder auto - van Utrecht naar Istanboel onder het motto 'Je hebt anderen nodig om verder te komen'. De 'theatrale roadmovie' die hieruit voortkwam was eerder te zien op o.a. de Wereld Expo in Shanghai en het Lowlands festival en komt nu voor de Belgische première naar Brussel. Op de dag van de voorstelling zal de caravan voor de Beursschouwburg staan als 'museum' van de reis. Na de voorstelling schuiven twee Vlaamse gasten aan om onder leiding van Barbara Rottiers (VRT Radio1) met Tjerk en Peter in discussie te gaan over Europese dromen en grenzen. De Europese gedachte lijkt op zijn retour, maar is essentieel voor de toekomst. Hoe kunnen jongeren gewonnen worden voor het Europese project? Plaats: Beursschouwburg, A. “fEUture – let's think Europe ahead!” l International Berlin Seminar
Organised by JEF Germany. Since unfortunately the European crises are still not resolved there is a need to take a look once more in the European future to propose a federalist vision for our European house. Logically consistent the title of the seminar will be "fEUture – let's think Europe ahead!". The seminar will bring together young and dynamic people from all over Europe and take you on a journey into 2050 to discuss, brainstorm and argue with each other to set the European federalist train back on the track and – last but not least – to have fun and to get to know each other! Speak up for Democracy in Belarus!
For the seventh year running, the Young European Federalists are organising their pan-European street action FREE BELARUS to protest against and raise awareness on the last remaining dictatorship on the European continent. JEF remains dedicated to bringing attention to the worrying situation in Belarus where freedom of speech, assembly and association is continuously being breached. With this years' action we aim to "Speak Up For Democracy In Belarus!" It is time that we, as young Europeans, break the silence which is imposed on the Belarusian citizens and speak up! Model European Union 2012
Model European Union (MEU) is a unique simulation of EU decision-making and politics, taking place annually in Strasbourg. The application process for next year's Model European Union conference is now open. You can submit your application form online by choosing to take on the role of a Member of the European Parliament, Minister of the Council, journalist, lobbyist or interpreter.
