Meet JEF

The Young European Federalists (or JEF) is a pan-European youth movement which has been defending the idea of a federal Europe since 1972. JEF has no political color but is resolutely pro-European. JEF Europe has 35 national sections and more than 35,000 members who are committed to a more democratic Europe. The Belgian section of JEF has local sections in Ghent, Louvain, Brussels, Louvain-la-Neuve, Liège and Bruges.

JEF Belgium also works as a youth committee of the European Movement in Belgium: it is a movement that brings together young people in the name of the European project in order to debate, carry out actions and commit to a stronger, more democratic and fully federal Europe. The means of its action? Debates, educational weekends, international seminars, visits to European institutions and street actions for JEF members and all young people interested in Europe in general. In addition, JEF works hand in hand with the European Movement in Belgium and also with other youth organizations and receives support from the European institutions for this purpose.
