The European Movement in Belgium is proud to announce its participation in the “Together for Europe” programme, coordinated by the European Movement International.
Under the heading “YOU’re Europe” – 'you are Europe', but equally it’s 'your Europe' — a number of activities will be organized focusing on the economic impact of the single market. Remember, the single market is 30 years old this year!

The UN Sustainable Development Goals, especially those related to the environment, remain a top priority for our Movement. Faced with the climate emergency, the period from 2030 to 2050 will be crucial: it will require massive investments, innovation, and unprecedented cooperation within the European Union. Climate conferences have followed one after the other, from the COPs and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) to the European Policy on green energy certificates. However, concrete action is slow in coming.
- Are our European Environmental policies effective enough?
- How are European institutions coping with the most crucial environmental challenges in difficult times?
- How is the European population perceiving the actions taken?
Through key achievements and clear objectives our European institutions are strengthening the foundations of the Environmental policies in order to guarantee a more sustainable future in the years to come.
The climate change balance continues evolving. How is our ecosystem adapting to these changes? Is our infrastructure ready to face these challenges? How are species evolving?
These and other questions are subject to discussion during this conference session with the participation of the main stakeholders of the sector.

13:00 - 14:00: Welcome word by the Secretary General.
14:00 - 15:00: Policy update, key achievements and 2030 - 2050 horizon.
15:00 - 16:00: Impact of renewable infrastructures on ecosystems.
16:00 - 17:00: Global warming and the evolution of species.
17:00 - 18:00: Closing remarks and Q&A session.
