The European Qualifications Framework defines the different levels of academic qualification and gives an overview to recruiters about each level of competence.
Nowadays, even if exchange programs motivate international studying within the EU every country of the European Union has its own particularities, even internally, in the way the qualifications are being valued.
Modern institutions propose a wide variety of qualifications programmes that are not being taken into account within the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) and consequently not by the recruiting entities. Disparities in the equivalence of qualifications make students lose life time, being obliged to continuously restart the same programs for validation and accreditation purposes.
Harmonizing educational qualifications across all countries and establishing a European framework could lead to a more effective and inclusive human resource qualification system. This harmonization would also enable everyone to contribute more effectively to the economy and society.
